I have been contemplating paradox — Defined as: “a situation or statement that seems impossible or is difficult to understand because it contains two opposite facts or characteristics.” I wonder, can I replace my resistance to confusion with a desire for complexity? Paradox is a fundamental truth: something that underpins every aspect of our lives. Accepting this is a relief.
Here’s a short poem:
Those who know, know they don’t know
The only way to hold on, is to let go
And time is so precious, it doesn’t exist
Feelings ignored are the ones that persist
The future and past bloom open with presence
The most profound wisdom is simple in essence
The oldest of souls, remain young in their hearts
At times, to remain intact, we must fall apart
